As spring moves into summer you may be thinking “it is time to add more fresh fruit into my diet.” Berries are in season and are the produce of the month! They are packed with vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, antioxidants, fiber and more.

Berries are also recognized as a top food in the MIND diet. With the vast variety of berries, you can incorporate some of the classics like blueberries, strawberries and raspberries while also trying different ones like acai, goji berries and pomegranate. 

Berries are great tasting on their own, but they are also very versatile in recipes like smoothies, fruit pizza, oatmeal, pancakes, and salad, the possibilities are endless! Make and keep the habit of eating berries every season - fresh or frozen are both great options.
