July Staff Spotlight: Anthony
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role here at the DAHLC: I have been married for 6 years to my wife, Courtney. We have a 4-year-old boy (Braxton) and 1-year-old black lab (Judge). Both are wild and crazy. We live out in the country just a couple miles from Grand Meadow. I have been at the DAHLC for the past 8 years serving as an Employee Well-being Specialist. I teach many classes at the DAHLC and am currently responsible for programming Fitness Foundations and Barbell Club.
Are you a sports fan? If so, what are a few of your favorite teams? Yes. Yankees, Vikings, & Wild. I was a 3-sport athlete in high school and my interest in sports performance is what got me into majoring in Exercise Science at Winona State.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies? I have coached high school football at Grand Meadow for the last 16 years. I also do strength and speed training with the male athletes at the high school in the spring and summer.
Favorite Food: Meat (wings, steak, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, turkey)
Favorite Summertime Activity: Fishing, smoking meat, & hanging out on our porch.
What is one thing most members don’t know about you? Corey Knutson (Employee Well-being Specialist) is my cousin.
