Nutrition is a key component to maximizing your workouts. Consider the following.
Hydration and Exercise
- Drink water before, during and after exercise
Eating before Exercise: Fuel your body for exercise but consider the size to prevent stomach discomfort:
- Large meal 3-4 hours before workout OR
- Small meal 2-3 hours before workout OR
- Snacks an hour before workout
Eating after Exercise
- Within 2 hours eat a meal or snack that contains carbohydrate and protein
