Membership Cost

By The DAHLC

The Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center (DAHLC) encourages utilization of the Center. Members may earn one incentive visit per day by regularly visiting our facilities. The more you use the center, the less you will pay the next period. Incentive visits are re-assessed every 3 months and discounts are applied to the subsequent 3-month period.

Payroll Deduction: Mayo employees with 0.5 FTE or greater may be eligible for payroll deduction each pay period. Spouses and Adult Dependents of this membership type can be deducted from the employee’s payroll. Everyone starts off paying $14.31/pay period for the first quarter (3 months). Discounts are applied based on facility utilization for the next quarter:

  • 0-14 visits = $14.31/pay period
  • 15-29 visits = $12/pay period
  • 30+ visits = $9.69/pay period

If Employee & Spouse join, both would have the same cost structure ($14.31/pay period/person).

Pre-pay: A 3-month prepaid membership is available for those who are eligible for membership but are not 0.5 FTE or greater. Membership renewal is required to receive discounted rates. Everyone starts off paying $93 for the first 3 months. Discounts are applied based on facility utilization for the next 3 months’ payments:

  • 0-14 visits = $93/3 months
  • 15-29 visits = $78/3 months
  • 30+ visits = $63/3 months

If Employee & Spouse join, both would have the same cost structure ($93/3 months/person).

In the previous financial statemtnt, it talked of membership cost increase. It mentioned roll out in 2015. What is that increase and when will that happen?

Currently there is no plan to increase membership fees. Thank you for the question!

As being a current member, how much would be it for me to get a pass for my 18yr old son while he is home on spring break.

Great question, @susannemkuc! We do have guest pass options: $10/day; 6 visits for $50 or 13 visits for $100 and the passes do not expire. Also, the member needs to accompany the guest for the duration of the workout. Let us know if you have other questions & we hope he has a great time while he’s home for spring break!!

What if you don’t work for Mayo, can you still be a member? What is the cost per month for non-Mayo employees?

I just want to make sure I have this right. I am the Mayo employee so it would be $93 for three months for him. Reduced after three months if he comes more than 15 visits. Is this correct? Thanks.

Hi @andyinhr, thank you for your inquiry. Here is our membership eligibility information: https://dahlc.mayoclinic.org/discussion/membership-eligibility If you are not an employee, you would need to be a volunteer for Mayo Clinic or Mayo Medical Student or your spouse would need to be associated with Mayo Clinic. Hope that helps. Thank you!!

@daniv

Hi @susannemkuc, yes, that is correct. Thank you!

This would be for my son (almost 19) who is a past Mayo volunteer. I am inquiring because he would like to use DAHLC from May-August when he is home from college.

Hi @susannemkuc, thank you for the information. Your son would have to be an active volunteer and meet the amount of hours allowed for membership. Our membership eligibility is defined here: https://dahlc.mayoclinic.org/discussion/membership-eligibility Thank you!

Can a Mayo Clinic full-time FTE from ARZ working RST regularly on the Plummer assignment use the DAHLC/join?

Hi @joyeverson, yes – you are eligible for membership! Just stop by the front desk with your badge. Thank you & enjoy!!

I would like to start my membership but need clarification. I need to have a membership that includes my wife also. What would the total cost be for the both of us. Is she covered by the $93 I would pay or would it be a separate charge for her to be a member?

The $93 for 3 months is reflected per member so it would be separate charges. The total cost would be $186 and that would cover 3 months for both you and your wife. After the first 3 months, the incentive program would determine the next 3 months worth of payment. If you and your wife visit the facility 30+ times over those first 3 months, the next 3 months would be a total of $126 for both of you ($60 savings).

Let us know if you have questions. Thank you!!

Hi, How can I view the # of incentive visits I currently have this period? It would also be good be able to view the start and end dates of my 3 month cycle so I can predict my payment or make sure I get to the gym a couple additional times to meet (or exceed) the # of incentive visits to reach a cheaper rate. Thank You
