Commuter bus stops to be relocated in Rochester

By tjorgenson

The Mayo Clinic News Center just published an article on parking and transportation updates, which may or may not impact you. Here is the latest from what we know:

Due to upcoming, long-term construction on Fourth Street Southwest in Rochester, all LeRoy City Lines and Rochester City Lines commuter bus stops will be relocated, effective June 18.

Construction on Fourth Street Southwest from First Avenue Southwest to Sixth Avenue Southwest will close the road and prevent buses from turning onto or off of Fourth Street Southwest. As a result, all commuter bus stops will be moved to First Street Southwest between Fourth Avenue Southwest and Sixth Avenue Southwest. This area is just west of the Gonda Building, between the Ozmun Building and the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center.

This may or may not be a permanent change. A final decision has not been made.

This also means that all parking will be removed from 1st Street SW all day, not just during the times listed in the article. This includes street parking meters and spots on this street.
