12 Habits: Forgiveness

inspiration-2blogForgiveness is a process that helps us affirm and embrace life as it is and to move forward knowing that we are more than the past. It is a choice to put down heavy burdens of resentment and revenge, guilt and shame, and to offer and receive this precious gift. Forgiveness does not deny evil or suffering, but begins with the gracious hope that goodness is more powerful. Forgiveness can be very challenging, but is worth pursuing because of the healing it brings. Spiritual beliefs and practices and relationships with trusted loved-ones and professionals can provide invaluable support and guidance.
