The“12 Habits of Highly Healthy People” program has made an impact for 2015! We are making the commitment to your personal health! Over the course of the next year, you will be introduced to 12 healthy habits that can help you gradually incorporate into your life. This month, “Preventive Healthcare Testing” is the focus for Habit 4. 

 Habit 4: Preventive Healthcare Testing

When it comes to prevention think Team Care. Care teams include not only your physician or provider but also nurses, mental health professionals, wellness coaches, and many other support staff who are involved with making sure you have the preventive care you need when you need it. This preventive care may include reminders, automatic scheduling, and access to your personal record for your review. Preventive services may include visits with a team member, testing, immunizations, screening, and/or education. Many preventive services can be provided without a visit. Hypertension Screening, Diabetes Screening, Lipid Screening, & Colorectal Cancer Screening are some of the recommended services customized for your age and genderIt may not take a village to help patients stay healthy but it does take a team, know yours and call upon them for help.
