For Amy, it is all about the CONNECTIONS with people. Listening to members impressions, stories, and their journeys is important to her. In 2008, Amy had the opportunity to be a heart patient at the Mayo Clinic. She said, "Literally my life flipped upside down, and I realized what was important in life and I do have choices. I re-accessed EVERYTHING in my life and made working "part-time" at the DAHLC a "full-time experience!"
I am most inspired by those individuals who realize life is about prioritizing what is important to them and moving in that direction. We don't need to be better than anyone else, just better than we were yesterday."
