What can I wear at the DAHLC?

DAHLC asks all members to wear modest attire when working out.  The goal of the DAHLC dress code is to provide a non-intimidating, inclusive environment where people can be successful and feel like they belong, regardless of body shape or size. In order to maintain our facilities and ensure member safety, please wear clean, dry shoes. Swimsuits must be worn in the whirlpool, steam room and pool areas.


Acceptable Dress


  • T-shirts and sweatshirts
  • Unaltered sleeveless t-shirts (shirt should cover back & come to shoulder)
  • Modest shorts
  • Warm up pants, workout pants, sweat pants
  • One & two piece athletic swimsuits
  • Tennis/walking shoes with a back (to be worn at all times while utilizing the workout areas)
  • Five-finger shoes

  • Shirts in these categories:  Cut-off t-shirts, bare-midriff tops, open-back tops, tank tops [includes racerback, spaghetti strap, deep-armhole (alone or layered)], wearing ONLY a sports bra
  • Cut-off shorts, jean shorts or shorts that are not modest in nature
  • Scrubs
  • String/thong bikinis
  • Shoes that are included in the following category: dress or street shoes, open-toed shoes, sandals, boots of any kind, sneaker mules (without a back), Crocs™
