Awareness of the serving size used to calculate nutritional information on a label and how it compares to the portion consumed is important to avoid excess calorie intake surprises. Learning what a portion size actually is, and, eating that amount is tricky. If you haven’t started reading labels, now is the time to start and take note of the serving size and calories, it takes only seconds and can save you hundreds of unwanted calories. Join us on Tuesdays from 11am - 1:30pm in the DAHLC Center Café for Tasty Tuesdays, where you can enjoy  a featured item (that includes an entree, sides, and beverage). During the month of March, create your own Noodle Bowl with Chicken, Beef or Tofu, Vegetable Blend and a variety of toppings—it's served with a Fortune Cookie and a beverage for only $5.75!

Since March is National Nutrition Month®,  you'll have an opportunity to see a lot of nutrition related displays in the cafeterias, including cooking demonstrations! Check out the schedule below:

  • March 3, 11am-12pm: Mexican Themed Demo at St. Marys By The Way Café
  • March 10, 11am-1pm: Italian Themed Demo at Methodist Employee Cafeteria
  • March 17, 11am-12pm: Moroccan Themed Demo at DAHLC Center Café
