Nutrition and Fitness – Nutrition Tip

DAHLC Strength-9556Nutrition is a key component to maximizing your workouts. Consider the following.

Hydration and Exercise

  • Drink water before, during and after exercise

Eating before Exercise: Fuel your body for exercise but consider the size to prevent stomach discomfort:

  • Large meal 3-4 hours before workout OR
  • Small meal 2-3 hours before workout OR
  • Snacks an hour before workout

Eating after Exercise

  • Within 2 hours eat a meal or snack that contains carbohydrate and protein
